Lisa Spindler PhotographyNovember 2, 2011 - On view for the next three months at local kitchen showroom, Scavolini by Cucina Moda, are select works by photographer Lisa Spindler. Spindler displays seventeen large scale images in the Scavolini kitchen showroom. Intermingling her work among six kitchen vignettes, Spindler carefully selects pieces that work within the environments, recreating how art influences interior design. More recently, Spindler’s work has been exhibited in various shows outside Michigan such as Ralph Pucci International in New York City and installations that include The Ritz Carleton hotel in Dubai. A mother of two children, Spindler quietly sneaks back into local view by showing in a non-gallery setting. Please call for pricing and availability (248)792-2285. Thursday, November 4, 2010 - The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce brought the big ribbon and extra big scissors for the show! Opus One Restaurant from Detroit catered our event. There were two Ferrari's in front of our showroom courtesy of Cauley Ferrari Dealership. October 21, 2010 - Kitchens and a Cause: a dining benefit organized and sponsored by local businesses for the benefit of The Boys and Girls Club of Troy. The event will allow guests to enjoy a fine dining experience while supporting a local organization.
Featuring critically acclaimed Chef Mimmo, as seen on Fox TV2, a Northern Italian inspired menu will be prepared “a la minute” live in front of guests. September 23, 2010 - Scavolini by Cucina Moda celebrates their partnership with the University Musical Society (www.ums.org) at the ‘Kitchens for a Cause’ launch party. In keeping with Scavolini’s mission to support the arts, Kitchens for a Cause is Cucina Moda’s initiative to promote social and cultural not for profit organizations.
Cucina Moda pledges to donate a percentage of kitchen sales in support of UMS from September 2010 to February 2011 to help UMS bring world-class live classical music, theater, dance, world music and jazz to Southeast Michigan. Catering the event is Gratzi Ristorante in Ann Arbor, showcasing Executive Chef John Fischer featuring a special selection of seasonal appetizers for an authentic taste of Northern Italian cuisine.
